Today on TechSource, we sit down with Rob Chee, Technical Director of the Cyber Security Practice at Iron Bow Technologies to get his perspectives on some of the biggest cyber security trends and challenges he saw in 2016. Chee says this year cloud security gained a lot of adoption with more and more organizations moving their services to the cloud. As more agencies are moving to a software-as-a-service model, being able to secure things within certain boundaries has become more of a necessity. From Chee’s point of view, he says that being able to see what’s going on in the organization and with users from an analytics perspective has been top of mind for executives.
Chee says one of the biggest trends this year in cyber security was the repaid increase of threats driven by cloud adoption and an increase use of the internet of things (IoT). Chee believes that one way to address threat increase is by having visibility into the network so leaders can catch malware and enable remediation of any malicious files quicker. With new services coming online faster than ever before, this increasing pace of change is causing security to become more important than ever.
