Windows 10 Migration: The Time is Now for a System Refresh

Written by: TechSource Editor on Jul 14 2016

Earlier this year, Department of Defense CIO Terry Halvorsen called for agencies to standardize and migrate to Windows 10. Halvorsen was quoted saying, “the department must rapidly transition to Windows 10 to improve cybersecurity and streamline and lower the costs of its information-technology footprint.” He set a goal of completing the migrations by January 2017.

This migration will alleviate a few of the challenges agency CIOs face today including protecting against the constantly evolving security threats, managing continuous updates on multiple platforms and devices and slow upgrade cycles.

Finding a way to protect your agency’s data, while not only maintaining but increasing productivity, security and manageability can be a difficult transformative process.
